The loving but grumpy fish Karsten Krull needs help – for example with eating and caring about his head, belly and tooth aches. This is where children are needed in order to care about the minor complaints of the amusing plush animal and to keep up his good mood.
In order to allow Karsten to interact autarkical a small ecosystem was integrated into this technical prototype. With the help of Raspberry Pi and several different technical components such as light and movement sensors, RFID-Chips, LEDs and conducting cloth the toy experiences his environment and reacts interactively to the behavior of the players.
This digital toy was developed in 2016 by 3 people and within 18 weeks of collaboration.
